Radojka Ivanovic

Radojka Ivanović graduated from the Faculty of Music, the Department of Performing Arts – Piano, Belgrade, Serbia, under the guidance of Professor Tijana Humo Rajevac. In the course of her undergraduate studies, she won numerous awards in the competitions taking place in former Yugoslavia. 

She began her teaching career in her hometown, Užice, and continued building it in the cities of Valjevo and Šabac. Since 2000 she has been teaching at the music school “Kosta Manojlović” in Zemun. 

Radojka Ivanović’s students have been the winners of a myriad of first and highest awards and prizes in the most prestigious piano competitions both in Serbia and abroad. Quite a few times they have been absolute winners in the Republic (National) competition in Belgrade, international competition “Davorin Jenko”, international competition for young pianists “Mihajlo Vukdragović”, international competition “Petar Konjović”, international competition “Isidor Bajić”, international competition for young pianists “Nis”, as well as abroad: “Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte”, Usti nad Labem (the Czech Republic), “Peter Toperczer International Piano Competition“, Kosice (Slovakia), „A Step Towards Mastery“, St. Petersburg (Russia), International competition „ Ohrid Pearls“, Ohrid, (North Macedonia), „Young virtuoso“, Sofia (Bulgaria), „White Lira“, Belgorod (Russia), „Arthur Rubinstein“, Paris (France), “Aleksandar Skrjabin”, Paris, (France), „Citta di Gorizia“, Gorizia, (Italy), „Matusija Blum“, Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), „Banjalučki bijenale“ (Banja Luka, Republika Srpska), etc.

As well as that, her students have been performing in the most renowned Belgrade concert halls, such as the halls of KNU, SANU, SKC, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra…. thereby gaining valuable performing experience. Many of them decided to deepen their interest in the piano and pursued their under and postgraduate studies in Piano at FMU in Belgrade, Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Music Academy – University of Zagreb, Kunstuniversität Graz, Austria, Guildhall school of Music and Drama in London, the UK…

Apart from teaching, Radojka Ivanović has also taken part as a jury member of many piano competitions both in Serbia and abroad. 

In 2017 she received a special award for her continuous teaching achievements from the Association of Music and Ballet Pedagogues of Serbia.

She is also a member of the Organizational Board and one of the founders of the Zemun International Music Competition. 

Having recognized her as a valuable member of its community, Zemun Municipality has been awarding her with a special reward for the highest result in the field of education in 2019, 2021 and 2022.
