Nataša Mitrović

Nataša Mitrović, a pianist from Belgrade, completed her basic and master’s studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of prof. Mirjana Šuica Babić and doctoral studies at the same academy in the class of prof. Marija Đukić. 

She improved her skills with renowned piano pedagogues: Lazar Berman (Weimar), Jan Novotny (Prague), Avo Kouyoumdjian (Vienna), Karl – Heinz Kämmerling (Lindau) and in America as part of thr Fulbright program (prof. Arthur Greene and prof. Martin Canin).

She is the winner of numerous awards at domestic and international competitions, as well as important artistic recognitions, among which are the “Emil Hayek” award for the most promising pianist, the October Award of the City of Belgrade and the Silver Plaque of the University of Arts.

She held a series of solo concerts and chamber performances as well as guest appearances at several European festivals in Austria, Germany, Spain, Sweden, France, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, as well as in many non-European countries; Israel, Kuwait, China, Japan and USA including renowned concert halls such as Kennedy Center – Washington, Symphony Space – New York, Martin Hall – Prague and Church of St. Sofia – Ohrid.

As a soloist, she performed 15 times with all domestic symphony orchestras, with the Vidin Philharmonic (Bulgaria) and the Montabaura Symphony Orchestra (Germany).

Organized by Eleanor Valkenburg (soprano), director of the “Poetica Musica” ensemble, based in New York (USA), every year she performs in the “Old Westbury Gardens” hall.

Since 2017, she has been collaborating in a piano duo with pianist Nenad Kačar.

She has been employed since 1998 at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. She is now a full professor at the Piano Department.

She held numerous lectures and seminaros for students and young artists in the USA, Spain, Turkey, Israel, Greece, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Serbia, etc.

She is a regular member of numerous juries at domestic and international competitions. As part of pedagogical achievements, her students actively give concerts and win numerous awards at domestic and international competitions. As part of the Erasmus project, she taught and performed at the Music Academy in Vigo (Spain).

She made permanent recordings for numerous radio and television companies. In October 2018, she recorded and released a solo CD and DVD.
