International Competition “Davorin Jenko”

International Competition “Davorin Jenko” in the last eighteen years has attracted the attention of both Serbian and foreign musical population with its traditional, yet open attempt to reconcile the clashes between the flexible attitude towards music and its traditional and modern approach with the appearance of artists of all ages, education and interests.

More than 8,500 competitors from Serbia and abroad (Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Macedonia, Bosnia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Russia, Austria, France, Ukraine, Hungary, Montenegro, UAE and other countries) that took part in the competition during the last five years, the jury of experts made up of distinguished pedagogues and performers from Serbia and abroad (Germany, England, China, Austria, Ukraine, Slovenia, Russia, Spain, Great Britain…), the welcoming attitude of the hosts and the specific manner of awarding speak highly of the organisation and content of this competition. The quality of conditions the organisers provide for the visitors and competitors guarantee a pleasant stay in one of the most beautiful cities in this part of Europe. It was the organisers intention from the very beginning to make this competition an unforgettable and comprehensive artistic and social experience.

This year, as part of the Woodwind Instrument Competition, the best clarinetist and saxophonist, according to the jury, will be awarded a ligature, a donation from the company SAX CLINIC Ltd. from Skopje.

Also, the Association of Flutists of Serbia will reward the best participants in the Piccolo discipline with a recital within the 2nd Belgrade Piccolo Weekend and a Fluterscooter bag for the piccolo flute.

At the 20th International Competition Davorin Jenko, according to the expert jury, the following were awarded as the most successful participants:
– in the Clarinet discipline Uroš Pavlović (B category) – MS Vatroslav Lisinski, Belgrade – Sax CLINIC Ltd. ligature. Skopje
– in the Saxophone discipline Kristina Vasić (Junior B category) – MS Milenko Živković, Paraćin – Sax CLINIC Ltd. ligature. Skopje
– in the Piccolo discipline Seulgi Stella Yun (E category) – Hochschule für Musik, Mainz – Recital within the 2nd Belgrade Piccolo Weekend

– in the Piccolo discipline Nikola Aleksić (E category) – Academy of Arts, Novi Sad – Fluterscooter bag

Registration for brass instruments disciplines until November 10, 2022.

The competition for brass instruments disciplines will be held in the period from December 1 to 4, 2022.

 

Registration for Woodwind instrument disciplines until January 20, 2023.

The competition for the disciplines of woodwind instruments will be held in the period from February 13 to 21, 2023.

 

Registration for Piano solo and Piano duo until February 20, 2023.

The competition for the disciplines Piano solo and Piano duo will be held in the period from March 14 to 20, 2023.
