Armin Coralic

Armin Ćoralić (BMus, MMus in Perf) has started his piano journey at the age of 6 at Music school in Idrija (Slovenia) with prof. Maja Tajnšek, where he performed his first one hour long piano recital at the age of 8. He won 14 first and many other prizes at national and international piano competitions. Under a guidance from prof. Helena Plesničar (Music school Idrija) he won and achieved 1.st prize at national competition TEMSIG in 2004 and 2007. 

In 2007 he continued his studies at Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana with prof. Sijavuš Gadjiev and won many international prizes (Arezzo, Palmanova, Gorizia, Koper…) In 2008 he won second prize in Trieste (Ita) with piano trio (prof. Tomaž Lorenz). In the same year he received Municipality of Idrija award for young artist. 

In 2010 he was admitted to the Royal College of Music in London, studying with prof. Andrew Zolinsky who has introduced pedagogical work to him with great interest. He graduated at RCM in 2014 and achieved his MMus Master’s degree with distinction in 2016. 

He won many internal prizes at the Royal College of Music, such as Beethoven prize, H.W. Award and Virtuoso Prize and has performed in different venues in London and around Great Britain. He has expended his artistic and pedagogical knowledge by working with L. Palmieri, I. Lazko, C. Elton, S. Hough, B. Douglas, J. Lill, E. Ax. and B. Petrushansky. 

He has performed in concerts and festivals in Slovenia, Austria, Germany Italy, Spain, Great Britain and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He recorded for Radio Koper, RTV Slovenia, Austrian ORF and British BBC. As a soloist he has performed with different chamber and symphony orchestras, such as RTV Slovenian Symphony Orchestra under the baton of G. Pehlivanian and M. Rogina. 

Currently, he works as a professor of piano at Slovenian music school in Nova Gorica and Idrija. Many of his students are prize winners of renown international piano competitions. He is holding a variety of workshops and masterclasses in Slovenia and abroad, recently at Music Academy in Sarajevo (BiH) and Musica Goritiensis in Gorizia (Ita).
