Alen Petrin

Alen Petrin, saxophonist and music educator, was born on December 9, 1992, in Kragujevac. He pursued his bachelor’s studies in Ukraine and Russia, gaining valuable experience and knowledge. He successfully completed his master’s studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, under the guidance of Professor Gordan Tudor.

Throughout his career, Alen has won numerous awards at both domestic and international competitions, showcasing his virtuosity and artistic expression. He is one of the founding members of the first Kragujevac saxophone quartet, “KG Sax Quartet,” contributing to the development of chamber music in his hometown.

His artistic journey encompasses a wide range, from solo performances and collaborations with the Luhansk Philharmonic to working with various orchestras and wind ensembles across Ukraine, Russia, and Serbia. Alen has actively participated in music masterclasses led by distinguished professors both in the country and abroad, further enhancing his skills and knowledge. In addition to his dedication to classical music, Alen has made a significant contribution as a concert musician in various ensembles, with over 600 performances both nationally and internationally.

His passion for music is also reflected in his pedagogical work at the “dr Miloje Milojević” Music School in Kragujevac, where he has been a saxophone professor since 2015. His students have achieved notable results, winning numerous awards at national and international competitions and festivals.
