Bio

Zorica Mihajlovic

Zorica Mihajlović was born in 1979 in Livno (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

She finished primary music school in her hometown, and after that completed Vladimir Nazor gymnasium and Josip Hatze music chool in Split (class of professor Ivana Oreb).

She graduated piano studies at the Academy of Music in Zagreb in the class of professor Đuro Tikvica.

During her piano studies, she started to work as a piano collaborator and chamber musician, playing with numerous musicians and in several chamber ensembles.

After studying piano, in addition to teaching, she performs as a chamber musician and soloist in Croatia and abroad.

After 15 years of work as a piano teacher and piano collaborator at G.U.Elly Bašić and at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, she devoted herself completely to piano pedagogy in 2018.

With her students, she achieved notable results at Croatian and foreign festivals and competitions, along with numerous independent projects (“Evening of Woman Composers”, “Integral Performance of 15 Two-Part Inventions by J.S. Bach”, “Integral Performance of 15 Three-Part Inventions and Six Small Preludes by J.S. Bach”, collaboration with the Contemporary Music for Piano course at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, etc.)

She currently works as a piano teacher at G.U. Elly Bašić and the Bonar School of Music in Zagreb.

She is the founder and president of State-of-the-Art Teachers society (UDSU), whose mission is education of art teachers and improvement and modernization of their work.
