Marko Djordjevic

Marko Djordjevic, graduated from the Department of Piano at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Dr. Ljiljana Vukelja. After completing his undergraduate studies, he specialized in the field of chamber music under the mentorship of Dr. Dejan Subotic. During his schooling, he collaborated with renowned piano teacher Zlata Poparic.

He has been engaged since 2010 as a piano teacher at the Music School “Mokranjac” in Belgrade, and since 2017 he has been appointed as an assistant director.

He is the winner of the annual award for pedagogical activity from the Association of Music and Ballet Teachers of Serbia.

Since 2021, he has been a member of the organizing committee of the Republic Competition of Music and Ballet Schools of Serbia. He has been a member of the organizing committee of the Joy of Music Festival since 2011.

His students have won numerous high awards and recognitions at piano competitions in Serbia and abroad (Republic Competition, International Competition Isidor Bajic Piano Memorial, International Competition Davorin Jenko, International Competition for Young Pianists Mihailo Vukdragovic, International Competition for Young Pianists Nis, International Competition San Donà di Piave – Italy, International competition F. Chopin Narva – Estonia).

It is worth mentioning that the performances of his students as soloists with the RTS Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Strings of St. George and the Symphony Orchestra of the Music School “Mokranjac”.

Some of his students continued their studies at prestigious music academies in Serbia and abroad.

In addition to his engaged pedagogical work, he is also active in the field of piano duo Djordjevic (Miljana and Marko Djordjevic), with whom he has significant performances in the most important halls across the country.
