Bio

Kristijan Boros

Kristijan Boroš, born on November 25th, 1986 in Novi Sad, Serbia. He completed the “Isidor Bajić” Elementary and High School of Music in Novi Sad in the class of Professor Pete Đuro. In 2005 he enrolled the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and in December 2010 he obtained a Master’s Degree in the class of Professor Mr. Nikola Srdić with exellent remarks. Since  2011 he has been employed as an teaching associate at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. In June 2013 he obtained a Postgraduate degree in the class of Professor Alois Brandhofer at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Austria). He is currently studying for a doctorate in clarinet at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad under the mentorship of prof. Nikola Srdić.

During his education he took part at numerous contests and festivals where he has achieved outstanding results.  The following awards are especially significant: Republic Musical Competition of Serbia in 2003 and 2005 in Belgrade and Competition for woodwinds in Požarevac 2004 and 2005 where he won the title of Laureate. He was the first prize winner at  the “Anton Eberst” clarinet and flute competition in 2008 in Novi Sad. He won the second prize at the International Competition for Young Musicians “Ohrid Pearls” in 2011 in Ohrid, FYR of Macedonia.

He attended master classes held by eminent professors: Jiří Hlaváč (Czech Republic), Michel Arrignon (France), Mate Bekavac (Slovenia), Jože Kotar (Slovenia), Zsolt Szatmári (Hungary), Béla Kovács (Hungary), as well as the chamber music courses held by professors Norbert Girlinger (Austria) and Boštjan Lipovšek (Slovenia).

From the University of Novi Sad he received exceptional rewards for the success he had achieved in the school year 2005/2006 as well as the award for outstanding results in the art for the school year 2008 / 2009. He won the scholarship granted by the University of Ljubljana for the summer semester of 2007/2008 as well as the scholarship of the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia for the school year 2009/2010.

In addition to his numerous solo concerts held in the country and abroad he also achieved impressive performances with chamber ensembles and orchestras of which the most significant are: Novi Sad Woodwind Quintet, Academy of Arts Clarinet Choir, Academy of Arts Symphony Orchestra, Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic, Serbian National Theater Opera Orchestra, String Chamber Orchestra “Camerata Academica”, Orchestra “Orfelin”…
