Vladimir Lazarevski

Vladimir Lazarevski studied oboe at the National Music Academy “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia (class of prof. George Zheljazov), receiving a Bachelor and a Masters degree. In 2004, Vladimir received a full scholarship from the music academy “Longy” in Boston, USA, where he continued his education and development in oboe and chamber music performance. He studied there in the classes of Prof. Wayne Rapier and Prof. Mark McEwen, both famous oboists of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and in 2006, he was awarded a Graduate performance diploma. In 2009, Vladimir received an MBA degree from the Institute Universitaire “Kurt Bosch” from Sion, Switzerland. As of February, 2013 he holds Doctor of musical art and science degree in the field of chamber music and oboe from the National music academy “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, Bulgaria.
As a member of the “Music Progressive Quartet”, Vladimir was awarded with the “Virtuosi” award for best chamber ensemble in Macedonia in 2012. He is a laureate of the international music competition Allegro Vivo” in Austria (2002) and Third prize winner from the International chamber music contest “Earth and People”, Bulgaria (2001). He has won first prizes at national music competitions in Macedonia in 1996 and 1997. Vladimir has mastered his musical profile at the numerous workshops and master classes with many eminent oboists and musicians like Ingo Goricki, David Walter, Paul Goody, Helmut Mecera, Ying quartet and others.

As a musician, Vladimir has performed at numerous festivals in the country and abroad: „Mozarteum” and “Allegro Vivo” in Austria, “Boston Musical Nights” in the U.S., “Darhtington Festival” in UK, “Gdanske LATO MUZYVZNE” in Poland, “Blues’ n Jazz Rallue”, Luxemburg festival, Bitfest,  “Classical Balkan Music Festival , “Stip Culture Summer Festival”, “Modoars” and others. Also, Vladimir has performed as a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic orchestra (1998, 2012, 2015), “Ars Baroka” ensemble from Sofia, Bitola and Kriva Palanka (2003, 2013) ,  “Academic Symphony Orchestra in Bulgaria (2012) and West coast symphony orchestra from Canada to Macedonia to Canada (2012, 2013, 2016).

As an oboist and English horn player, Vladimir has played and joined many orchestras including: Macedonian Philharmonic orchestra, Macedonian Opera and Ballet, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony orchestras in Pazardhik and Vratsa, New Symphony Orchestra and Academic Symphonic Orchestra in Sofia, London Chamber Orchestra,  the USA, Collegium Musicum Bankya from Sofia, Orkiestra Symfoniczna Filharmonii Warmińsko-Mazurskiej from Poland, West Coast Symphony from Canada  and others.

At the moment Vladimir Lazarevski works as the lead oboist in Macedonian philharmonic orchestra  and had held an Associate Professor position at the Faculty of Music in in Stip, Macedonia since it opening. Vladimir is a member of Music Progressive Quartet, Contemporary music ensenble and FAM Symphony Orchestra.
