Nenad Janković graduated, got his master’s degree and doctorate at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Professor Mirko Isaeski. He is the founder of the brass trio and brass quintet of the Belgrade Philharmonic, and is one of the founders of the Balkan Chamber Academy ensemble. He is the solo bassoonist of the Belgrade Philharmonic, where he is permanently employed. He regularly performs as a member of the orchestra of the chamber opera Madlenianum, the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, the New Symphony Orchestra “MAKRIS”, as well as the New Belgrade Opera. Since 2010, he has been the solo bassoonist of the Maribor Festival Orchestra, and in 2011 performed with the Australian Chamber Orchestra on their European tour.

As a soloist, he performed with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Serbian Army Symphony Orchestra, BGO Dušan Skovran, Strings of St. George, Symphony Orchestra of Southeast Europe, and the Chamber Orchestra YES – Youth European Strings.

He is a winner of several first prizes at republican and federal competitions, first prize at the international competition in Stresa (Italy), the October Award of the City of Belgrade for youth creativity in 1995, as well as the Faculty of Music award from the Bruno Brun fund for the most successfully completed doctoral studies in the academic year of 2013-2014.

He improved at master courses with professors Knut Sönstevold (Sweden), Milan Turković (Austria) and Mauricio Paez (Israel).

He held several master courses in Serbia, at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, and is a regular lecturer at the Wind Instrument Workshop in Tivat (Montenegro).
