Aleksandar Jankech

Aleksandar Jankech was born in 1995 in Požarevac. He started playing the saxophone when he was nine. He received primary and secondary music education in „Stevan Mokranjac“ music school in Požarevac, in prof. Periše Stanojević’s class. He continued his education in Vienna, at the music academy „Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt“ in prof. Lars Mlekusch’s class.

During his education he won more than 30 first awards with the maximum amount of points in Serbia and abroad. Some of those awards can be pointed out: 4 first awards at the Republic competition in Belgrade; 5 first awards at the Woodwinds competition in Požarevac; 3 first awards at „Davorin Jenko“ competition in Belgrade; first award at the Festival of music and ballet schools of Serbia in Zaječar, later also in Ćuprija, where he represented the city of Požarevac at the final concert of the best students of Serbia; first award as a soloist of „Tango Juventud“ orchestra at „Citta di Castel Fidardo“ competition in Italy, and he also performed with this orchestra several times at the concert hall of the Kolarac People’s University in Belgrade; third place at the international competition „Saksistra“ in Koper (Slovenia); first place at the international winds competition in Ostrava, in the Czech Republic; third place at the competition of saxophonists in Nova Gorica (Slovenia); third place at the competition of saxophonists in Łódź, Poland.

He performed several solo concerts throughout Serbia, and also abroad, and he performed at numerous events in Europe.

He attended master classes with Betka Bizjak Kotnik (Slovenia), Eugene Rousseau (USA), Arno Bornkamp (Holland), Johan van der Linden (Holland), Marcus Weiss (Switzerland), Matjaž Drevenšek (Slovenia), Miha Rogina (Slovenia), Daniel Gauthier (Canada/Germany), Jean-Yves Fourmeau (France), Claude Delangle (France), Jerome Laran (France), Vincent David (France), Kenneth Tse (USA), Christian Wirth (France), Pierre-Stéphane Meugé (France).
