Laureate of International piano contests in France, Italy, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Finland... Professor of Moscow State Institute of Music named after A. Schnittke.

Rustam Shaykhutdinov studied at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (diploma with honors, class of Prof. M. Gambaryan – pupil of K. Igumnov, H. Nuehaus and L. Oborin; qualification – concert pianist, soloist in ensemble, concertmaster, teacher) and postgraduate doctorate studies in Magnitogorsk State Conservatoire named after M. I. Glinka (diploma with honors, academic advisor – PhD, Professor O. A. Yakupova). He assisted in master-classes under supervision of Professors M. L. Rostrovopich, S. L. Dorensky, N. L. Shtarkman, V. P. Starodubrovsky, A. A. Aleksandrov, A. G. Skavronsky, V. P. Ovchinnikov, B. A. Lvov, V. Blankenhaim, E. Picht-Aksenfeld, B. Sharon, T. Yamazaki and others. From 1998 - 2016 teached in Ufa State Academy of Arts named after Zagir Ismagilov (approved by High Attestation Commission of Russian Federation in the rank title of Associate Professor in the department of specialized piano in 2004, as Professor in 2011) and in Specialized Secondary Music college. Delivers individual and lecture courses in the system of Graduate and Postgraduate education: Special Instrument, Piano Ensemble, Pedagogic training, Music Performing and Pedagogics, History of Performing Arts, History of Performing Styles. From 2003 - 2016 he was head of Department of Special Piano. Currently he is professor of Moscow State Institute of Music named after A. Schnittke. Rustam Shaykhutdinov is active in concert performances and master-classes in Russian Federation (Moscow, Kazan, Lipetsk, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk) and abroad (Czech Republic, South Korea, Italy, Denmark, Hungary, Germany, Austria). Among his students there are more than 100 laureates and diplomants of Republic, Russian and International contests (Belgium, Croatia, Italy, Bulgaria, Czech Republic), winners of All Russian contest Young talents of Russia. As an author of 40 published works on the question of piano performance, theory and methodology, Rustam Shaykhutdinov is a candidate of Art Science (PhD). In 2004 he became Laureate of State Award of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the field of literature, art and architecture named after Sh. Babich. In 2013 he won Republican contest on the best scientific paper of young scientists of universities and scientific bodies in the Republic of Bashkortostan. He is author of the idea, organizer and Art Director of annual International festival Ufa-fortepiano (among participants S. L. Dorensky, I. V. Osipova, E. V. Mechetina, V. N. Monastirsky, K. Levi Minci, G. Aibulus, T. Joamets and many others) and also a member of Expert board of Republic charity Program New names.
